Creating is a process, an act and connection to aliveness itself, that I find challenging to live without.
I am from a family of makers... and make things is what I love to do. .........drawing, painting, puppet and mask making,
making sounds
even making movement
and being moved by and with movement itself....
Inspiring creativity in others seems one good thing to offer this world.
Just sharing with myself helps me delve more deeply into what it is all about.
Communicating with sound, silence, movement and art with others is rich, suductive and nourishing.
We all need MORE of it.

I come from rock
emerging
with wings
when I could
crawl
or swim
floating in space
rock also
emerges
it all
begins
drop
Some begin deep
draw water
nourishment
grow to
burst at the surface
Become
in the light
of Life
Some from above
dripping
building as they seep
into swirling
evolving beauty
all laughing births

Long ago I came across a picture and an anonymous quote that has inspired me for decades. That is a long time. I hope this doesn't mean I am stagnating.
"A mind once altered will never be the same." I began in the center doodling playing shape and color leading me hither and yon. The singing stones my new friends with dragonflies the old... although, as far as I know those stones have been a round a long time singing... longer than the dragonfly. |
