There are many ways I cross my midline each day to enhance brain health. I notice when I am reaching for something and I deliberately choose to reach across my body. I also use my non-dominant hand for tasks that usually my right hand just takes over. I do cross crawls (hand or elbow to opposite lifted knee in a series of cross lifts for a minute or so) when I feel off in some way.
I also find ways to cross my midline in tasks I need to do daily, like shaking my eye drop bottle. I combine a few health motions in this one task I do 3 times a day. First, when I am shaking it I hold the bottle in one hand, cross my midline, and shake on the other side. And then after at least 10-15 seconds, I switch hands and shake across the midline again. But, not to waste a necessary moment of repose, I also let either hand rest on my chest on the thymus while I shake in order to stimulate my immune system.
Double duty. Name of my game.
Oh wait! That is Double Doodle!
